16. Elias⁴ Ressler (Jacob³, Jacob², Johann Heinrich¹ Rößler) was born in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania August 27, 1823.⁽¹⁸⁾ Elias died July 3, 1891 in Butler County, Iowa, at 67 years of age. His body was interred in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.

He married Hannah Pennepecker February 1852.⁽¹⁹⁾ Hannah was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania November 9, 1831.⁽²⁰⁾ Hannah was the daughter of Henry Pennepecker and Catherine Hornsher. Hannah died February 7, 1905 at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.

He married Albertina Margretz in Pennsylvania, July 1854.⁽²⁵⁾ Albertina was born in Pennsylvania March 17, 1836.⁽²⁶⁾ Albertina was the daughter of Herman Henry Margretz and Sarah M. Stumpff. Albertina died November 11, 1894 in Butler County, Iowa, at 58 years of age. Her body was interred in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.

20. Benjamin⁴ Ressler (Jacob³, Jacob², Johann Heinrich¹ Rößler) was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania August 15, 1830. Benjamin died October 25, 1918 at 88 years of age.

He married Sarah Wilson before 1858. Sarah was born November 26, 1837. Sarah died May 30, 1928 at 90 years of age.

He married twice. He married Nancy Jane Margretz in Allison, Butler Co, IA, January 11, 1863.⁽²⁷⁾ Nancy was born in Snyder County, Pennsylvania March 20, 1846.⁽²⁸⁾ Nancy was the daughter of Herman Henry Margretz and Sarah M. Stumpff. Nancy died February 12, 1906 in Butler County, Iowa, at 59 years of age.⁽²⁹⁾ She died from gangrine of the left foot, a complication from her chronic diabetes. Her body was interred Feburary 14, 1906 in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.⁽³⁰⁾

He married Laura Russell in Butler County, Iowa, November 11, 1907. Laura was born October 19, 1847. Laura died February 21, 1916 in Iowa, at 68 years of age. Her body was interred in Waverly Junction, Bremer County, Iowa.

She married Rolland Nettleton in Quanah, Hardeman County, Texas, April 30, 1882. Rolland was born December 13, 1857. Rolland died October 18, 1928 in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico, at 70 years of age.⁽³³⁾ His body was interred in Quanah, Hardeman County, Texas.⁽³⁴⁾

He married twice. He married Wyoma A. Epley in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, March 20, 1887.⁽³⁵⁾ Wyoma died December 22, 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri. Died in childbirth of first child.

He married Flora Waite after January, 1889. Flora was born July 7, 1866. Flora died May 11, 1947 at 80 years of age.

67 iii. Ivan Herbert Ressler was born January 25, 1896. Ivan died November 1977 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, at 81 years of age. He married Frances Temple in Fayette, Fayette County, Iowa. Frances was born March 18, 1902.

28. Charles Henry⁵ Ressler (Elias⁴, Jacob³, Jacob², Johann Heinrich¹ Rößler) was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania January 19, 1865. Charles died July 14, 1944 in Butler County, Iowa, at 79 years of age. His body was interred in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, at Riverside Cemetery.

He married twice. He married Ida E. Clay in Shell Rock, Butler County, Iowa, September 2, 1888. Ida was born May 2, 1865. Ida died November 18, 1923 in Butler County, Iowa, at 58 years of age. Gretta died July 31, 1923 in Hardeman County, Texas, at 36 years of age.⁽⁴⁵⁾ She died following complications after surgery for the removal of a fibroid uterus. Her body was interred in Quanah, Hardeman County, Texas.⁽⁴⁶⁾

She married Edwin McMaster April 30, 1908.

Gretta Emma Nettleton and Edwin McMaster had the following family:

155 i. Dorothy Elizabeth⁷ McMaster was born June 2, 1909. Dorothy died June 25, 1993 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred December 28, 1993 in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, at Carlsbad Municipal Cemetery.⁽⁴⁷⁾ She married William Seay Carpenter July 23, 1932. William was born August 5, 1909. William died December 1, 1955 in Corona, Lincoln County, New Mexico, at 46 years of age.⁽⁴⁸⁾ The plane he was piloting crashed. At the time, the family was living in Carlsbad. His body was interred December 1, 1955 in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, at Carlsbad Municipal Cemetery.⁽⁴⁹⁾
