1. Camelia1 Allred was born in Georgia about 1826. Camely died before 1900 in Cooke County, TX.(1)

She married three times. She married Judge Anderson Pleasant Goolsby in Franklin County, Georgia, October 28, 1845.(2) Judge was born in Georgia about 1823. Judge was the son of Jeremiah Goolsby and Mary Polly Wood. Judge died about 1856 in Texas.(3) Family stories say that Judge was hung for stealing horses, and that after he was hung it was realized that he was not the thief. The year of his death is estimated from tax records and Camely's second marriage.

She married William J. Lindsey in Smith County, Texas, September 3, 1857.(4) William was born in Tennessee about 1834. William was the son of Thomas R. Lindsey and Jane --?--. William died 1884 in Rains County, Texas, at 50 years of age.(5) Based on tax records, William died between 1884 and 1885. He was listed on the 1884 tax roll, but in 1885 his wife, Camely, was listed.

She married Elisha Stanley in Cooke County, TX, September 20, 1888.(6) Elisha was born in Texas December 1830. Elisha died after 1900.

2. Judge William2 Goolsby (Camelia1 Allred) was born in Hall County, Georgia November 25, 1846.(7) Judge died January 29, 1923 in Mineola, Wood County, Texas, at 76 years of age.(8) He died in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Joseph Edward and Hattie Hasten. He died from arterio-sclerosis. His body was interred January 30, 1923 in Wood County, Texas, at Mt. Psigah Cemetery.(9)

He married twice. He married Martha Jane Bearden in Texas, about 1867.(10) Martha was born in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia September 1, 1854.(11) Martha was the daughter of Simon W. Bearden and Martha Clark. Martha died December 5, 1911 in Wood County, Texas, at 57 years of age.(12) Her body was interred in Wood County, Texas, at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.(13) He married Nancy Jane Magee in Wood County, Texas, January 8, 1914.(14) Nancy was born in Clay County, Arkansas April 16, 1861. Nancy died before 1923.

She married Charles R. Lindsey in Texas, around 1866. Charles was born in Mississippi about 1842. Charles was the son of Thomas R. Lindsey and Jane --?--.

4. Jeremiah Marr2 Goolsby (Camelia1 Allred) was born in Wood County, Texas January 25, 1856. Jeremiah died November 29, 1931 in Silver Lake Community, Van Zandt County, Texas, at 75 years of age. He died in the home of his daughter, Lula (Goolsby) Prestidge.

Not long before his death, he was visiting his daughter, Eula Marshall, when she was living in Sunset, Texas. He told her of a vision he had about his funeral. He told her that they would carry his casket to the cemetery on a wagon and all of the grandchildren would sit on it for the trip except for her son, Aubrey. He told her who all would be there and what would happen. He also told her he wouldn't really be dead when he was buried, but not to do anything because that was just the way things were to be. Eula had forgotten about this until after the funeral, but then she realized his description of the funeral was accurate and Aubrey didn't ride on the wagon with the other grandchildren.

His body was interred in Van Zandt County, Texas, at Prairie Springs Cemetery.

He married four times. He married Mary Margret Turner in Cooke County, TX, November 29, 1874.(26) Mary was born in Cooke County, TX May 3, 1857.(27) Mary was the daughter of George William Turner and Sarah Frances Goodnight. Mary died January 28, 1897 in Cooke County, TX, at 39 years of age. The location of her grave is unknown. The last persons to know the exact site were her son, Willis Goolsby, and his son, John Robert Goolsby, but they never recorded the site. It is known that the grave is unmarked and is just off the highway between Gainesville and Whitesboro. The cemetery at Whitesboro fits the description and since she and her husband lived near Whitesboro, it is likely she is buried there.

5. John M.2 Lindsey (Camelia1 Allred) was born in Wood County, Texas March 13, 1859.(31) John died October 8, 1893 in Rains County, Texas, at 34 years of age.(32) His body was interred in Rains County, Texas, at Woosley Cemetery.(33)

He married Susan Patience Woosley in Rains County, Texas, October 10, 1880.(34) They were married by A.C. McKay, M.G.

Susan was born in Arkansas October 5, 1859.(35) Susan was the daughter of James Boler Woosley and Elizabeth Mathews. Susan died October 1, 1893 in Rains County, Texas, at 33 years of age.(36) Her body was interred in Rains County, Texas, at Woosley Cemetery.(37)

6. Isabelle3 Goolsby (Judge William2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Emory, Rains County, Texas January 31, 1868.(39) Isabelle died October 12, 1960 in Malta, Bowie County, Texas, at 92 years of age.(40) Her body was interred in Rains County, Texas, at Woosley Cemetery.(41)

She married William Rufus Wilson in Rains County, Texas, October 16, 1886.(42) William was born in Rains County, Texas April, 1869.(43) William died July 14, 1936 in Rains County, Texas, at 67 years of age.(44) His body was interred in Rains County, Texas, at Woosley Cemetery.(45)

Isabelle Goolsby and William Rufus Wilson had the following family:

7. Luella3 Goolsby (Judge William2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Emory, Rains County, Texas October 1870.(58) Luella died March 10, 1961 in Grand Saline, Van Zandt County, Texas, at 90 years of age. Her body was interred in Creagleville, Van Zandt County, Texas, at Creagleville Cemetery.

She married William J. Roberson in Van Zandt County, Texas, May 10, 1900.(59) Uncle Billie was born in Arcadia, Beinville Parish, Louisiana January 22, 1855.(60) Uncle Billie was the son of James William Roberson and Rachel Anders. Uncle Billie died 1950 in Grand Saline, Van Zandt County, Texas, at 95 years of age.(61) His body was interred in Creagleville, Van Zandt County, Texas, at Creagleville Cemetery.(62)

Luella Goolsby and William J. Roberson had the following family:

He married Lucy Odella Brooks in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, July 20, 1899.(78) Lucy was born in Alabama February 15, 1885. Lucy was the daughter of William Franklin Brooks and Lara Ann Loard. Lucy died July 24, 1910 in Mineola, Wood County, Texas, at 25 years of age. Her body was interred in Wood County, Texas, at Mt. Psigah Cemetery.(79)

William Penn Goolsby and Lucy Odella Brooks had the following family:

She married Edward Dean Hughey Sr. in Wood County, Texas, February 12, 1893.(117) E.D. was born in Georgia July 1870.(118) E.D. died 1936 in Hays, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, at 65 years of age.(119)

He married four times. He married Bobbie Wioner before 1889.(133) He married Carrie M. White about 1899.(134) Carrie was born in Texas December 1881.(135) He married May Caroline Moore about 1915.(136) May was born March 9, 1889.(137) May died June 6, 1936 in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at 47 years of age.(138) Her body was interred in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at Sabine Cemetery.(139) He married Wanda Nell Freeman 1938.(140) Wanda was born January 27, 1909.(141) Wanda died March 17, 1939 in Lindale, Smith County, Texas, at 30 years of age.(142) Her body was interred in Noonday, Smith County, Texas.(143)

She married Joseph Edward Hasten in Wood County, Texas, December 28, 1898.(157) Joseph was born in Corning, Clay County, Arkansas January 27, 1880.(158) Joseph was the son of Robert Hasten and Nancy Jane Magee. Joseph died September 12, 1939 in Mineola, Wood County, Texas, at 59 years of age.(159) His body was interred in Wood County, Texas, at Concord Cemetery.(160)

Hattie Goolsby and Joseph Edward Hasten had the following family:

17. Camley Mae3 Goolsby (Jeremiah Marr2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Cooke County, TX November 25, 1875. Camley died October 8, 1949 in Garza County, Texas, at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Post, Garza County, Texas, at Terrace Cemetery.

She married James Perry Howard in Cooke County, TX, September 16, 1897.(194) Perry was born in Texas August 13, 1873.(195) Perry was the son of James D. Howard and Susan Martha Bates. Perry died May 28, 1950 in Garza County, Texas, at 76 years of age. His body was interred in Post, Garza County, Texas, at Terrace Cemetery.

Camley Mae Goolsby and James Perry Howard had the following family:

18. Frances Isabell3 Goolsby (Jeremiah Marr2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Cooke County, TX July 23, 1880. Frances died November 15, 1904 in Cooke County, TX, at 24 years of age.(202) The attending physician was listed as her grandfather, George W. Turner. No cause of death was listed.

She married John Leslie Giesler in Cooke County, TX, September 16, 1897.(203) John was born in Missouri June 28, 1876.(204) John was the son of John S. Giesler and Sarah J. --?--. John died February 22, 1952 in Gray County, Texas, at 75 years of age.(205) His body was interred in McLean, Gray County, Texas, at Hillcrest Cemetery. The grave is in Section D, Block 37, Lot 7.

Frances Isabell Goolsby and John Leslie Giesler had the following family:

20. Mary Euna3 Goolsby (Jeremiah Marr2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Cooke County, TX November 12, 1886. Mary died August 12, 1908 at 21 years of age.

She married Joseph Alexander Giesler in Van Zandt County, Texas, March 31, 1904. Joseph was born in Cooke County, TX October 2, 1887.(209) Joseph was the son of John S. Giesler and Sarah J. --?--. Joseph died December 18, 1964 in Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma, at 77 years of age.(210) Grave-side services were held Tuesday afternoon December 22, 1964 for Joe Giesler. He passed away December 18 at his home in Sayre, OK and was laid to rest beside his wife, Ina, who preceeded him in death last January 1, 1964.

His body was interred December 22, 1964 in Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, at Fairview Cemetery.(211)

Mary Euna Goolsby and Joseph Alexander Giesler had the following family:

Martha Eula3 Goolsby (Jeremiah Marr2, Camelia1 Allred) was born in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas April 1, 1891.(213) Eula died January 5, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 82 years of age. Her body was interred in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.

She married twice. She married James Hardin Levi Marshall in Poletown, Van Zandt County, Texas, November 22, 1905.(214) They were married by D.D. Richardson, Minister of the Gospel. Poletown is now part of Grand Saline.

James was born in Stringtown, Arkansas May 15, 1873.(215) James was the son of Almerine Marshall and Malinda Pierce. James died October 15, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 68 years of age.(216) He died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

His body was interred October 16, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Riverside Cemetery.(217) The interment was under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home. He is grave is space 212, Block Z.

She married John W. Briggs in Van Zandt County, Texas, March 5, 1939.(218) They were married by Jim Alphin, Justice of the Peace.

John was born May 23, 1860. John died April 17, 1950 in Van Zandt County, Texas, at 89 years of age.

Martha Eula Goolsby and James Hardin Levi Marshall had the following family:

He married Frances Eugenia Dozier in Cooke County, TX, September 29, 1914.(227) Fannie was born October 24, 1894. Fannie died April 14, 1976 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred April 16, 1976 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
